Husband. My husband, engineer by trade and Buzzies’ head grower, grew up on a dairy farm learning the value of hard work, accurate npk calculations for the corn crop, and that hen dressing (aka chicken shit) is better fertilizer than cow manure but sometimes the neighbors complain about the stench. In his initial days of growing cannabis he would lean on this foundation, “What would the farmers do for their crops?” Then proceeded to devour book after book on growing cannabis and talk to anyone growing anything about how they grew it – no input was too insignificant. Buzzies is the result of his intense passion for growing and many cumulative years committed to the craft.

Wife. I am a graphic designer by trade (no hefty design bill for us – all of Buzzies’ branding, labeling, website is my own creation) and a gardener by passion – I love caring for something that you then consume to sustain life. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease as a teenager and have successfully treated it for more than half of my lifetime naturopathically (without pharmaceuticals!). Because of this dis-ease I have become an herbalist, energy worker, yoga teacher…basically a health nut! The body is a wonderful place to be when it’s healthy, happy, and whole. Through my husband’s guidance I’ve learned oodles about cannabis and am excited to continue to learn more…it seems never ending!

Cultivators of Coveted Cannabis. The competition is between us and us. Each grow we aim to do better than the previous. We coddle and pamper and even sing mantras to our plants! Our goal is for you to experience this care in our cannabis and hope you’ll agree when we say, “Buzzies has the best buzz.”

Devout Gardeners. We love the process of growing plants whether they’re for enjoyment or food. It is certainly sometimes humbling, but the humility sweetens the reward when we have success. We’re not certified but everything we grow is grown organically – if it’s in the plant it can end up in us or our environment!

Proud Mainers. We farm on land in Central Maine owned by my husband’s family farm, it was once owned by his grandfather who remembers picking rocks to plant potatoes in the field we reclaimed that we now grow in. We love everything about this state (well, not the black flies but they do feed the fish so…) and have always been proud to say, “We’re from Maine.” We feel the strength of deep roots in that statement.
